Hello, my name is Annika!

I grew up in Rossland, BC. A small town in British Columbia Canada. As a child I always had a strong passion for tactile learning and movement. At a young age I quickly learned to knit and sew from the help of my grandparents and was always busy moving from dance classes, to figure skating, to skiing and biking. Growing up in a small town I have a strong connection to community. I like to have strong relationships with the people around me and get to know the place I live by adventuring. My interests span the realms of design, craft, and art with a focus on soft products. My projects are centered around challenging the possibilities of movement, form and user engagement. I am intrigued by the potential of design, specifically in relationship to form. Through my practice I aim to explore the possibility of integrated narrative and story telling. In my spare time, you can find me going for long walks (wondering around), sewing many projects at the same time, baking (mostly cookies and bread), dancing because it makes me feel happy, biking (to clear my head), and drinking tea (Lapslang, English Breakfast or Chai preferable).

If you are interested in collaborating or contract work please feel free to send me an email I would love to meet you.
