A sleek pannier that can easily transform into a backpack, with a laptop sleeve, external and internal pockets for organization and a water bottle pocket. The result is a fully functional pannier backpack. The pack holds a large volume due to its role top and can easily attach to a bike as well as be worn as a backpack. It is made from coated nylon and is waterproof. It includes a water bottle pocket, a laptop pocket on the inside and two external zipper pockets (one on the front and one on the side.) The straps are designed to fit ergonomically on the shoulders.

Process

Started with a card stock model, which was tested and turned into a pattern. The second ideation was a fabric prototype which I gave to users to test. Through each step of the creative process the design of the pannier/backpack and evolved to be as ergonomic and refined as possible.
